4-1 Opener! Galatasaray beats 10 Man Denizlispor

After starting the first half brightly, with Kewell showing some bright colors in his name, Galatasaray began to struggle. Though they did open the scoring from Kewell, it was 1-1 by the time half-time rolled around.
I should not that Aykut did start as goalkeeper but made a few of the same mistakes which he had made in the Champions League game a week earlier, though they didn't end up costly this time around.
Pretty early into the 2nd half, a Denizlispor player got second yellow card and got thrown out of the game. Controversy of course follows. I admit that he shouldn't have been ejected from the game, though his second yellow was without a doubt 100% yellow, his first was a mistake from the referee. Having realized that he wrongfully rewarded him his first yellow, the referee very well should have let that one slide and just call the foul.
After the red card, Denizlispor was all defense with all but Galatasaray's goalkeeper attacking into Denizli's half. It took awhile but Galatasaray finally broke through after a succession of dangerous attacks. Once the lead was taken, Denizlispor obviously had no choice but to go forward for the points and put their defense at risk, as they did. And Galatasaray took advantage of this making it 3 - 1. In the last second of the game, Lincoln took a shot from inside the area which deflected off a defender and rolled into the back of the net, leading to the final whistle.
